Cannot find module `Express` when deploying to heroku

I'm currently deploying my site to heroku and it's been a headache. Using webpack, expressjs and react. Everything builds fine and webpack bundles as expected. Here is the error with the stack trace.

It's not that the express module is missing. Notice the capital E. I'm completely stumped. Anyone encountered this before? Thanks!
