Configuration for Programmatic TestNG in pom.xml

I have created a programmatic TestNG class which is working fine. Now I want it to be triggered from the Surefire plugin in pom.xml.

I came across many answers available but none states that what should be the configuration of pom.xml in Surefire plugin configuration.

Please help me.
