Is It Possible To Specify the Number of Cores in Java?

So, the title basically says what I'm asking, but I was wondering if it's possible to allocate a certain number of cores to a certain task with Java arguments. If that's not possible, can you find the number of cores with code then let the program use those specific cores? Thank you.
