Connection Abort on Transaction

our enterprise application is management by Spring.NET. We use declarative transaction with default Isolation committed level.

Since we are working on offshore sometimes while debugging we get connections dropped to IBM DB2 server frequently.

[Transaction]

our connection string specifies querytimeout of 90seconds.

http://ift.tt/1k1cl3d also says Connection Lifetime

  1. What's the difference between querytimeout and Connection Lifetime?

  2. If 5 developers are debugging application and they step into transaction decorated method(s) and connections iare dropped. In that case how long will the transaction hold table/page for locks?

We are getting lots of deadlocks and timeout possibly throughout the day. Am I missing something?

closet link i found on is What happens to an uncommitted transaction when the connection is closed?
