Debug Nginx - Why is a page not cached

I am using Drupal + Nginx + Apache as my backend server. At the moment i am having the problem that just my frontpage wont get cached and I dont get why. Does someone give me a hint how to debug nginx, to find out what causes it to not cache a page?
