Populating a webpage, using a webform

I am a hobby webpage designer, using CS5. I have tried "searching" for my potential answer but think I am not phrasing my question correctly, due to my very limited knowledge. This is for a non-profit function, and not commercial use and as such I do not have resources at my disposal. I apologize ahead of time for improper use of terms. I have the Adobe CS5 suite for developing, and use a Linux server on GoDaddy. I have a grasp on html and limited knowledge of .php. Task: I am trying to create a webform(webpage) that will continualy update a spreadsheet embedded within another webpage that users are viewing, all on my own server. This webform would have only 3 fields and a "submit" button. The fields would be: 1. a drop down list of names to choose from that would populate a given name into a cell 2. a drop down list to choose which column the name would go into(i.e.-A, B, or C) 3. a drop down list to specify a line. or could I eliminate steps 2 and 3 with just specifying the cell(i.e.- A4, D7, or B13?) I guess what I am asking is there script I can find(or par for) on a website that does this, or do I need to make the webform, an data base(have no clue how to do this,) and then a webpage that pulls and displays data? I appreciate any information you can share, or for pointing my in a given direction. Respectfully, The Grunt(New guy)
