Ruby on Rails and CCBill Integration

I am working on a project for one small company and they are asking me to integrate the CCBill payment solutions to their Rails application.

I have never done this before. Could anyone point me to solution?

To understand me. I don't want or need any detailed response. I just want to know how those things usually work. How the payment processor works with your web application and User models(database).
