Segment/recognize the triangle based on the detected disconnected border lines

I am trying to segment the triangle area (highlighted with red lines) at the lower central section in the image. Such triangle area may show up at other locations in the image. The lines in the image are the edges detected in the original image. Does anybody have an idea how to do that?
