tabindex in partial view

I have an user contro(.ascx) with lot of controls in it and they have been assigned some default tabindex order, now when we trying to make this control part of another page using html.renderpartialview, we are missing the tab order. Controls present in the top page are following a specific tab order(tabindex is not specified at all in the parent page controls) and when it comes to this control, the control is getting skipped totally and tab is following with next controls present in the page. Any ideas etc will be of great help
