structure as input to s-function and not simulink bus

guys can anyone give me an example of passing a structure to a s-function or using s-function builder. i found examples of Simulink bus as input but not structures with characters. also in the structure is it possible to send not just double or integer data types but also character and strings and then extracting the individual variables separately at the output?

so for example if i have a structure test with two elements data_a and data_b (and maybe also a data_c which has character data in it) then using simulink bus how can i send them to an s-function and then in the output separately send out these variables (like flattening the structure input)
