Convert NMEA data into csv file in ADAFRUIT ULTIMATE GPS HAT FOR RASPBERRY PI A+/B+/PI 2

I am currently working with ADAFRUIT ULTIMATE GPS HAT FOR RASPBERRY PI A+/B+/PI 2 .. I am getting the raw NMEA data output into the command prompt window. But I want this raw data to be saved in a csv format in some file on my computer. I am using python for coding. What code should I write in python to do that?
