Core Data Load on app first run?

This is more a question on standards, I think, than on coding so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I have a quiz app, that on start up I load core data with all the quiz data. From then, I reference core data to retrieve my data.

My question is: should I load core data every startup, or should I only load it on the apps first run? Is there a standard for this? If the later, is there any documentation you can point me to.
