Is there any javascript utils for collecting time on page metrics?

I'm doing web analytics for user behavior tracking. I'm wondering whether there is any third party javascript tools for collection "Time on page" metrics.

One more question, if a user opened two tabs, how to calculate the "Time on page" metrics?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
