Why won't my Java Exception List work in OS X Yosemite?

The url skychart.skyandtelescope.com is exactly what the name suggests. It has a history of Java blockage problems, but simply adding the url to my Exception List has bypassed them for earlier OS X releases. I upgraded to Yosemite (10.10.1) last week, and have tried:

--using an exception list containing only this url.

--trying a bypass link on the home site of Sky and Telescope.

Neither enables me to reach this site (I have installed, and reinstalled, the latest Java release).

I'd welcome any suggestions.
