finish the database update when having the admin permission [on hold]

I am new to to ASP.Net and i am working on a project, the manager asked me to do a function which i have an employee that they would have an option to update their profile, their profile is stored in the database, the update won't be done unless the administrator approves on it.

I just don't know how that could be done

Any suggestions or ideas?
