Solidworks Macro IDE

So I am very new to writing macros for SW. I use 2011 Premium but will likely upgrade soon. With 2011 when I write a VBA macro it opens Visual Basic 6.0 and I am quite used to Microsoft Visual Studio which is obviously a far more developed IDE.

My question is whether or not there is a better IDE I can use. I have tried searching for this but without much luck. I have tried opening my .swp files in VS but it is translated as a raw HEX file. Has anybody done this? I feel like surely there must be a better option than what I am seeing currently.
