How to set up lan network between two virtal machines on Virtual PC?

I have problem. I created two virtual machines in VirtualPC (I am using windows 7 as main system): windows server 2003 and windows xp.

Firstly, I set up network parameters. On server machine I set up two adapters: local only and adapter, which allow to use internet on vm (intel, wifi etc... depends on your network card). On client machine I set up one adapter: local only.

Alos, I set up active directory on server machine (ws2003) and created domain and some users. I want to connect client machine (winxp) to this domain, but when I am trying to set it in network settings it says, that such domain can't be found. When I am trying to ping domain, created in ad on server machine it fails.

I think, that network between vm's is not set correctly. Am I right?
