My company is migrating from IBM Notes to Office 365. How to reverse-engineering or find source code for a IBM (Lotus) Notes app?

Rather than rebuilding the application from scratch, I'd like to somehow "inspect element" so to speak and at least see what was going on and build from that while translating it to a new language.

I have no experience with reverse engineering apart from looking at a website's html and copying it, so where would I start for a project like this?
