All!
My OS is Debian 7 I need to convert my XP NTFS partition to virtualbox vdi.
What I did: 1. dd if=/dev/sda1 bs=512k of=os_image.img 2. VBoxManage convertdd os_image.img os_image.vdi --format VDI
This steps were ok. But trying to start os_image.vdi fails.
If I boot with live_cd image in this virtual machine I can use my XP partition which is contained in the os_image.vdi. I tried to fix mbr by the rescue utils, checked the boot.ini its's active status and other stuff. But anyway it won't boot at all.
Any way out?
