How to develop a new programming language from scratch

I like learning new programming languages. I am done with many and now i want to develop my own new programming language. I developed two small languages from C#.Net and JavaCC.

Now i do not want to use these compilers or interpreters. I want to develop everything myself.

So my question is

1) Is it even possible to do so ? 2) If yes help me how to start ?

Note: I have good knowledge of compilers and interpreters
