That's pretty much it. We've just installed Debian 7 on my Dell XPS L701X, and we got stuck to the login step each time we tried to use tty because the keyboard was behaving in a really weird fashion.
It finally turns out that the Crtl
key is stuck.. but only in the tty. (therefore hitting alt+F7
returns directly to graphical mode)
It seems to be stuck as well when we try to boot with fail-safe mode. And to be stuck as well when we plug another usb keyboard.
How do we recover basic tty usage?
