PHP login system broken

I have a login system, which uses mysql and php. I was doing some tests with new rows in a table that I had setup and had to delete a user and recreate it to test it out. But when I removed the user, I was still logged in on the website.

And now, for some reason when I try to login, everything works fine, but there are no changes such as showing your profile, your avatar. It just shows the login/register buttons before logging in.

I have tried to run my logout script, then try to login again, but the problem still persists.

I have fixed it before, but can't remember how I did it.

I'm using XAMPP for coding the website.
