Debian 2.2 Network in Virtualbox

I want to install Debian 2.2 in Virtualbox as guest to test an exploit for educational purposes. The installation from the CD images works fine. But the network isn't working. lspci shows the Ethernet Controller:

AMD 79c970 [PCnet Lance] (rev 40)

The network doesn't come up and i found nothing in the web to solve this problem.

Can anybody help me?
