How to create a WebApp without using the WebSecurity?

and sorry for my poor question. We always create applications using WebMatrix ways for security, and its cause the team to be lazy. No one understands the benefits of using WebMatrix. The problem is that we dont want to use anymore the webpages_User tables autocreated by WebSecurity with the membership, roles, etc. We want to use our tables names and rules. But like a said, the team is new and very small, so, no one understand the really reason to use the webmatrix.websecurity because we dont know the really needs of security in web. I read about MembershipProviders but I dont know if I'm in the right way or not. Can anyone give me a tip?
