iw command to set client wifi card into N-mode

The command iw dev $name set bitrates legacy-2.4 6 9 12 18 24 36 48 54 sets a wifi device into 802.11g mode. I'm looking for the equivalent command for N-mode, if such a command exists.

I've tried googling and not had much look, I would be very grateful for any help.
