Use impressionist in Grape::API classes

I'm trying to use impressionist methods (e.g. impressionist user) in my Grape::API module, but I'm receiving an

undefined method `impressionist' for #<Grape::Endpoint:0x007fc4d60ada00>

error, since the library is made to be used within Controllers (as I guess looking at the implementation).

So, another way to ask the same: is there any way to require or include a Controller class in Grape::API to be able to call its methods?
