Best Practices for PHP Website Template Design

the last few days I saw a lot of ready-made website templates for Admin Dashboards on the web which look quite nice.

But I would like to understand one thing that caught my eye everytime. Is it kind of a best practice to completely load everything on each page again, including the top nav bar, sidebar navigation etc on each page? I would have thought it would be way easier to exclude these components from the code directly and have a separate file for these which I include in a new content page so I have to change the content for the navigation list only once for example.

This was never done in any template, but the whole page as it is has been copied.

As I want to create my own custom made dashboard I am thinking of what would be the best approach. I would have worked with included php files for providing all the components and have a separate file for each content provided.

What experience do you have with that?
