Change UINavigationBar color with a switch

So I currently have a view and put a standard navigation bar (just like one you can drag into a normal UIView) and with a switch I want it to change colors when it switches but it won't.

I can go out of the view and other navigation bars become the color that I want but I cannot get it to update in the view with the switch.

I have tried everything but none tells me how I can make it change colors without going to a different view and then coming back.

Have tried appearance code and all that. Any help is appreciated.
