D3 Sunburst Partition Diagram Have Parent Nodes On Outside

I've been working in d3 for a short while now and I've been wondering if there is any way to make it so that the sunburst partition diagram has the Parent nodes on the outside and then their offspring nearer to the center? Here is the link of the code I've been looking at and can't seem to really grasp what it is I should change to obtain the behavior I'm looking for.
