knitr-manual.lyx is not opening in Lyx 2.1.3

I have Lyx 2.1.3 on Windows 8.1. I can open and create pdf from knitr help file that comes with Lyx. However, I can't open the knitr-manual.lyx or knitr-graphics.lyx files. Is there anything special about them?
