Plotting date and another variable as a forest plot

I am very new to R. So, this question is likely very simple but I have located several complicated codes for creating forest plots from multiple variables and tweaking has proven unsuccessful for me.

I have seen several graphics of forest plots that look ideal for the information I would like to visualize. I would like to recreate a graphic similar to this but with values I specify.

Where the left column with my data is an actual date. And, the plot on the right represents revenue. Sample of data:
