Capture window's content and put its thumb into control

I have WPF appliction with 2 windows. One of them is on primary monitor, the other is on secondary. In primary window I have operation panel and there I would like to have thumb of content from secondary window (which is dynamic, but it is simple, text or static image).

First I create a method which save content of window to bmp and show it in element and put it into timer with 200ms interval, but it was very CPU expensive. Now I've created UserControl with is duplicate of Window and when I set window's field I also set this usercontrol's analogic field, but it causes little differences in view and I would like to avoid calculating variables like ratio for resolution and window content.

Any ideas?
