Google Sheets - bug? - Printed output does not match screen (WYSINWYG)

I am trying to use Google Sheets to create nice Gantt Charts from rows of projects. After creating some really nice scripts that place the text and create the bars, I am frustrated to find out that what is on screen is not what actually prints. The result is the bars don't line up to the dates properly. Does anybody have a way around this?
