How to load relevant location data

Scenario:

I'm building an app for people to find the office locations that are nearest to them which I'll load onto a google map. I have the zipcode of each location but all the locations come in at once via json.

Question:

Currently I can list all the locations which I don't want to do. I have GPS information from the person's device, how can I use that information to filter out my results to only include data for the offices that are within a 1 mile range from them?
