VBA with Jabber: user status

I am using VBA to perform an automated which is dependent on whether the other user is present. I want to check his Cisco Jabber Messenger status whether the user's current status is set to 'online'.

I am using the CUCMessenger library. how can I check if a user is "online"? Any inputs appreciated
