New schema for my database

I have application. this application create a database to store some data. I need to migrate my database schema(Add some table, delete other table.) in my application. So when i create my application with this new schema, i can't to connect (or to use ) the previous database created by the previous schema.How to support old version of database in my new application? my database is Mysql. Should be create a batch to supporting for the older version?
