Host Domain on AWS but Subdomain on Another Server

My domain is registered on GoDaddy but hosted on AWS using S3. I would like to use a different (a physical server actually) for the subdomain. Is that possible? I tried using Subdomain Forwarding in GoDaddy but it doesn't seem to be working.

Once I updated the DNS name servers in GoDaddy, I can't go edit the DNS Zone File because it says "The zone file is unavailable because the domain's set nameservers do not belong to this registrar." I think that's where the change needs to happen.
