WSO2: How to get specific resource on a uri, but the resource is not associated to a parameter but part of the uri

Hi is there a way I can get a specific resource from the uri e.g. localhost/users/{id} and I want to get the id and pass it to a sequence before I can go ahead and process the service. I know that if I have a uri like localhost/users?id={id}, then I can have a regex expression that would get the value of id, how about if the parameter is part of the uri based on my first example? Is there anyway I can get that parameter?
