Http Post request with one parameter

I am playing around with the "yo" app api and I want to build an app to send yo and receive some through my computer. I need to make an http POST request to this address: http://ift.tt/1v1uFto and pass the parameter "api_token" which mine is 3f7aec88-693a-36ed-a824-c0f4f7558001. I clearly don't understand HTTP request. Can someone help me out on this one?
