Import project from workspace root

I have a Drupal installation at /var/www/my-project. I'd like for my Aptana workspace and project to both be in that working directory. I can't seem to make this work.

I set my workspace to /var/www/my-project, no problem. I then chose "Import existing folder as new project", and chose /var/www/my-project as the folder. The problem is that now Aptana wants to name the project my-project and place it in yet another subdirectory, so the project path is /var/www/my-project/my-project.

How can I make the project root directory be the same as the workspace root directory?

Here's my motivation, if you have other suggestions- I have several Drupal sites installed under /var/www, some of which are quite huge. I used to use /var/www as my workspace, but then I had to create separate debug configurations for every site, and had to deal with the all of the clutter and indexing coming from the sites other than one I was actively working on. It seems to me that creating one workspace per site is much more sensible.
