App behaving differently on android versions

Iam developing a app which targets API level 18. If I test my app on devices with Android versions below 4.4.2 the app works but does not work on version 4.4.2. If I make changes to make the app work on Version 4.4.2 it does not work on versions below.

Can anyone help me?
